Immobilizer on mitsubishi colt problem...pls help!!?

I have a 1996 Colt Rodeo 3L d/cab-cannot get car started-dash lights come on but engine does not crank-replaced batteries in remote,but still no response-any way of overriding the immobilizer system, or suggestions as to where the fault may be?
