Saxophone mouthpiece care?

You dont need to do anything to start to play on the mouthpiece except find some reeds that you like playing on....But do not wash the mouthpiece in hot water becaus eit eill take of the coating, ruin the mouthpice and it will taste horrible....Selmer S90's are used for a concert setting because the have a softer, smoother sound.
